We do believe that the multiple intelligences that our students possess can be more developed through the learning experiences that we provide them with… not only during regular classes where we craft our daily teaching instructions, putting forth our utmost effort to teach them using the Multiple Intelligences (M.I.) teaching strategies, but also through the separate M.I. classes and club activities that we conduct on Fridays.

Verbal-Linguistic Intelligence
The Speak-up Club aims to develop learners to communicate their ideas confidently and effectively. Learners engage in various speaking activities to ensure their development in the area of oral communication, especially public speaking. Speak-Up classes conduct activities like debates, poetry festivals, and speech recitals.
Heartbeat Club
Musical Intelligence
The Heartbeat Club provides learners the opportunity to express themselves through music. It brings theoretical knowledge in music into practice. It helps learners develop their musical skills and discover their talent and eventually honing themselves as music smart learners under the guidance of their equally music smart teachers.
SMA Chorale
Musical Intelligence
The SMA Chorale is a club that aims to develop learners’ skills in singing and harmonizing their voices with others. Members engage in different activities that will ensure their development in the area of singing and performing in front of an audience. The choral group meets weekly to prepare for special events.
Art Production Club
Visual-Spatial Intelligence
Members of the Art Production Club engage in activities that promote creativity, organization, and originality. Learners do activities that encourage them to appreciate the arts. Through the Art Production classes, learners become resourceful and innovative individuals through the production of actual artistic projects which are displayed during school big events.
Movers Club
Bodily Kinesthetic Intelligence
The Movers Club provides an avenue for learners on how to express ideas and feelings with facility using the different parts of their body. It gives opportunities to the learners to enhance understanding of what body language is, as well as how to use it maximally well to communicate with others. It helps learners to demonstrate physical movements and skills with coordination, balance, strength, flexibility and speed.
The performances of the Club members always inspire and “wow” the audience, thus making them appreciate the importance of their intelligence.
Starlight Club
Verbal-Linguistic Intelligence
The Starlight Club aims to develop young campus journalists and writers in writing different kinds of newspaper articles and literary pieces, doing copy-reading of finished articles, and composing poems and essays. Members who are strong in remembering details and who possess sensitivity to colors, shapes, lines and forms are tapped and honed to capture scenes of different school events, illustrate editorial cartoons and lay-outing of the school paper.
Theatre Club
Sinag Tala
The Sinag Tala Theater Guild offers its members an avenue for demonstrating their hidden talent in acting, singing and dancing. The members are given the opportunity to engage in activities that will capture their skills in portraying ideas emotions and feelings of characters during their acting workshops. The combination of bodily kinesthetic, verbal and musical intelligences are utilized and displayed during performances.
Batang Kalikasan Club
Naturalistic Intelligence
Batang Kalikasan provides learners the opportunity to engage in activities that are nature based. Learners do projects and experiments that will encourage them to be more aware of nature. Attending Batang Kalikasan classes will lead learners towards becoming advocates for nature’s protection and conservation.
Asked about why SMAers are always included in the list of lucky winners during the MACIPRISA Athletic, Literary and Academic Competitions, we replied humbly that our daily instruction delivery, our M.I. Clubs which are anchored on the propagation of our learners multiple intelligences and in the light of our advocacy and initiative to uphold our school philosophy to make all SMAers shine, plus our strong determination to provide holistic learning, we may say that, these are the reasons behind those humble victories and modest achievements.
